Business Lending Solutions, a Limited Liability Corporation, (BLS) is a subsidiary of CUSO Mortgage Corporation providing comprehensive business lending services to Maine credit unions since 2005. 

BLS is a full service, in-house member business lending organization specializing in the areas of loan origination, underwriting, loan participation, & servicing. BLS assists credit unions that, on their own, may not have the expertise to originate, underwrite, fund or service commercial real estate or small business loans for their members. BLS can help strengthen the relationships of Credit Unions with their members by providing access to expanded product offerings and services. In addition BLS assists credit unions in their efforts to attain loan growth while mitigating risk and diversifying their portfolio. This is accomplished by loan participations. 

Loan Origination/Underwriting Services

BLS originates and underwrites business loans for members of credit unions in Maine. The Company’s staff has several decades of combined experience in commercial lending.

Loan Participation

BLS offers member business loan participations on behalf of partner credit unions. Credit unions may participate transactions to diversify their loan assets while not having to invest in additional staff.

Loan Servicing

BLS/CUSO Mortgage has an experienced staff and the necessary technology to efficiently service member business loans. These services include monitoring compliance, producing statements, payment processing, investor reporting, tracking loan performance & providing annual reviews  to include loan risk rating recommendations.
